Dr. Anna Todd
Dr. Todd was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. She completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Princeton University. Thereafter, she returned to Canada and completed a joint MD-PhD degree at the University of Calgary. Her PhD research was in Cardiac MRI at the Stephenson Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Centre, examining the effects of obesity and diabetes on the heart. After medical school, she was accepted into the Plastic Surgery residency training program at the University of Calgary. During residency in Calgary she had her two children. Following residency, she went on to pursue additional sub-specialty fellowship training at Sunnybrook Hospital through the University of Toronto. Her specific focus was on breast cancer reconstruction and microsurgery, and was exposed to a very busy, large volume practice at this renowned breast centre. Dr. Todd is board certified Plastic Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Todd’s clinical focus is in breast cancer reconstruction, but also provides care for a wide range of plastic surgery presentations, including hand, nerve, trauma, and congenital breast conditions (such as tuberous breast). With her extensive training and surgical skill, she also brings a compassionate and warm bedside manner, and a strong focus on patient-centered care.

Dr. Todd will be covering for all of Dr. Hartley's patients while Dr. Hartley is on parental leave (November 4, 2024 until August 3, 2025 inclusive)
